New Guest n Doctors Greed!

In this blog I thought of sharing the much whispered fact as well as fear which concerns almost every Indian for that matter at least common citizen like me who do not have doctor in family or a trusted family doctor.

People choose profession either by chance or by choice to earn bread and butter for life. The architects of human being society to uphold and prevail honesty, kindness and well being of people they categorized carefully chosen profession as Nobel. Among many few, DOCTOR as a profession is also termed as Nobel profession. The person who is called doctor has more responsibility apart from earning day to day bread and butter. This is only because after God, Doctor are people whom a person surrender their body to analyze and cure it for any kind of treatment in need. Doctors and all of us can well feel the place this profession hold to mankind. This profession demands people who are full of life to be part off. As we cannot at any point afford to categories this in good and bad. The margin of error in this profession is expected to be near to null.

Well above was the expectation from the human beings by the section of human beings whoever joins this lovely profession. But what have few countable people and medical organizations in this field have done? For some lump of money greed they have clearly compromised and ignored the basics & beauty of this Nobel profession. Now we are forced to categorized people of this profession as good doctor and bad doctor. This is the biggest ever shame this profession has got which the youngster joining this profession has to minimize.

Let’s look on some figures and research to justify above stated statement.

According to World Health Organization recommendation the caesarean section rate should not be higher than 10% to 15% of total delivery performed. So does any private medical organizations especially in India achieve this? I am not a doctor and I do not know the complexity of this profession but as an eager citizen, if a medical firms/hospitals who claims to have qualified doctors produces figure above 50% way too high than WHO standards then how should I convince myself of any reason other than hospitals greed from money? Read for some example of just one city of India i.e. Bangalore.

Doctors expose: High drug prices not for R&D cost, but profiteering

If C-section delivery is required than it should be given but patient in care should be given true picture not the scary and false information to push them for C-section but unfortunately latter is more prevalent. This clearly shows that sense of true service which this profession demands is clearly missing due to corporatization of medical profession. I am sure even a doctor reading this bog will share the same pain.

Another and the most ugly byproduct of this profession by few bad doctors getting into this Nobel profession by chance is about female infanticide. Now they give reason that customer approaches them with this bad intention so they happen to fall in trap. Dear, the customer demanding this kind of inhuman service is demon. But who is forcing you to be demon? Isn’t it just pure greed of money? Has money earned by foul means have ever helped in long term? I am not sorry for using harsh word here because it is a matter of life and death. If the life sustaining group became the creator of death bed than even demon/daemon is still not harsh.

This female infanticide is still prevalent in India though it is crime as per Indian Penal code. You will be surprise to know that educated people are more involved compare to uneducated lots. Now Blame has to go to bad doctors prior to government or citizen as bad doctors are the one who are encouraging to break laws and in their complete senses they are involved in execution or cold murder of the baby infant.

Now I am a software engineer by chance and have just spent short span of 6 years in this profession, I have seen injustice being done to capable people in our industry in terms of promotion/hike/favoritism etc. But this is no way gives any justification to get De-motivated and encouraged us to degrade my dedication toward work or bring shame to IT industry. We can deal with such mal-practices at some level. This is just a smallest possible example, I am sure there are many people in IT as well as doctors with same great zeal. So Bad doctor you are compare to God than why this degradation? Why many common citizen are afraid to go to you but still they have to as there is no choice?

Let’s we as human being not only Doctor community alone should start the cleaning process and show tough resistance towards hand full of bad doctors who are destroying the beauty of medical profession. We as co-operate citizen need to care for health and our loved once and strictly get rid of mind set of evaluating everything thing on basis on cost and forgetting pain because of having medical insurance. Good doctors needs to help us and government by reporting to nearest police station about the identity of customer with request of female infanticide service. This of course is time taking process and needs government active participation but at least we can make start at our level without fail.

Imperfection: Something good to have

Imperfection is something which everyone wants to get rid of or improve it to match modernity. Each one of us wants to achieve perfection with clear fact that no one is perfect. We can work on process expertise to achieve perfection in doing things but how one can achieve perfection in natural qualities such as leadership etc. Does anyone know of any leadership model? That can guarantee perfect leaders if one happen to follow it religiously. Perfection is situational. It is not perennial. Leadership is a state of mind, that of an explorer for whom the unknown is a lot more exciting than the known. One who is simply not obsessed about getting to the top? One may be perfect in one situation and reverse in another. But one who keeps consistency in all situations can be termed as leader. But still leader is not perfect. So friends have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it. For that matter no one has ever reached.

Let’s not debate on one liner which we happened to read in our school days that ‘Practise makes man perfect’. No it just reduces the imperfection. Perfection takes you to loneliness and contributes to individualistic attitude. Imperfection is not something bad it has its own goodness. A best team is built always by imperfect people. It helps other people to relate with you for having common flaws. Overlooking shortcomings spread love in your family by showing them that they are more important to you than things or perfection. When all of your energy is no longer concentrated on worrying about what you SHOULD be doing and how you SHOULD be doing it, you free yourself up to focus on what really matters. Imperfection inspires you to experience bad and tough situations. Unlike always looking for perfection make you look pretty boring. Making mistake also teaches your children to make mistake so that one day they get habit of trying rather than staying away due to fear of doing things perfect at one go. Being generous and kind are quality of imperfect human being isn’t better then attaining perfection. We are perfectly imperfect.

Deoria Meer : My village n Native

Native place has special place in everyone’s life. This place has fond memories of your birth, childhood etc. Birth place has seen you in all possible forms and have accepted without any bemoan. People stay or leave their native for any reason but they always remember this place as one of the special places they have ever come across in their life time. I am sure you also must have extra-ordinary recollections of your native.

My native place name is Deoria Meer; it is under Deoria district of northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Majority language is Hindi, which is also a national language of India. It is a small village of nearly 2900 population. The main occupation of the residents is agriculture followed by self-owned business, daily wages labours and ofcourse some gulf birds as well. As per 2011 Indian census, male and female ratio is 1471: 1429. It has its own post office and a small railways station. The village is full of lively people who are busy in tackling day to day issues of their own. This village is no wonderland as people here has their own disputes, fight, love, brotherhood and struggle to survive. Village is lucky in terms of natural reserves provided by God such as abundance of drinking water, fertile land for growing crops which includes wheat, rice/paddy, mustard, maize, pulse, vegetable variety etc. The village is surrounded by mango garden from one side and a lake with spiritual hermitage on other side. Remaining two sides are by man-made canal and railways station. My family i.e. my parents primarily cultivate wheat, rice and mustard.  The village has got 4 small temples (considering we have multiple God faith) and a big temple of Maa Durga is at reachable distance from village. It had one mosque but last year in 2012 when I visited my native I saw temporary mosque has been put up when asked a reason for the same people in charge told they have their own difference with people managing the old mosque so they have got one for themselves. Excellent issue resolved. Near to perfect village with all required facilities available naturally. Only thing people struggle is for road transport and electricity. But for that matter we are not the only village in India. Lovely this was a short description of my village. Wanted to mention that we have got around 15 Neem trees spread across the village. I will not hold you further so please watch out some snaps taken from i-pad.

Change: How far can we resist!

The world is driving itself toward maximum disorder due to human yearning for continuity. Lands which used to be forest has become desert. Rivers are changing their course with each flood. Ice caps are melting to lands. India was once a place with plentiful rain but now people are facing drinking water problem in certain part. If we see our own body then as year passes skin cracks; eyesight weaken; bones turn brittle; hearing diminishes. On lighter note girls whom boys thought as their heart throb during mid-twenties usually bring heart attack when they happen to see in mid-forties and vice-verse. Any guesses what all the above statements indicate? No brain-teaser here, it indicates that in the universe as in life change is the only constant.
Source: Internet

Everyone knows that change is something which one can never resist or hold for long. Sooner we understand and implement in life less is the pain during parting. But yet it is human nature to strive for endurance till last breath. We pray to eternal God to keep us in best of times but what happens in reality is that nature reminds us time to time that nothing lasts. And we feel immense disturbed by the moving transient nature. But Still God has not left us alone to deal with this situation he has given wonderful power to human i.e. to forget incident as days passes.

To help you get overcome the resistance of change in your life, I would like to share a simple theory which I learned during my MBA sessions. This theory is called change model and it was developed by Bechard and Harris in 1987. The theory is pure use of common sense and it is not a rocket science as well. So you can also have a look irrespective of background you belong to. I believe this hold true in 21st century and many more years to come.

His theory is in terms of formula:-
                                       D x V x F > R
I.e.                   Dissatisfaction x Vision x First Step > Resistance to Change

It is important to note that the three components must be present to overcome the resistance of change and to get the change of your possible choices. Dissatisfaction with current situation; a vision of what is possible in future; and achievable first step toward reaching this vision.  The resistance to change will dominate if any one of the parameter is zero or near to zero.

What I mean to say is we should be welcoming toward change but yes we should not always be over responding for change as their lies a feeling and memories which is made beautiful if you welcome change systematically. There is also immense joy to experience when we cling to the old wallet long after it has fallen apart. We visit and revisit the old neighbourhood and native where we grew up, searching for the remembered mango gardens and the little fence. We browse our old photographs and sometime become nostalgia.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin
